Ryan's Mohawk

Last weekend Ryan finally convinced me to buzz his hair. I have refused to do it for a while now but sadly I gave in. I cut Ryan's hair into a Mohawk which he wore for a day. We eventually cut it all off later that night because he had to teach Elders Quorum the next morning! I actually like the new buzzed look now!

Our Garden

I just wanted to show off our cute little garden! Last month Ryan, Debbie and I planted a vegetable garden in the backyard. We planted tomatoes, bell peppers, basil, cilantro, a cucumber, zucchini, watermelon, cantaloupe and a pumpkin. So far we have 4 tomatoes growing and a small green bell pepper! I'm in love with our garden! Its so much fun to come home and water it daily and see how much it has grown. I think our garden has become my surrogate child/puppy since I cant have either right now! That's why I love it so much! Yes I know I'm odd, but its the truth! We are excited to see how big it will grow!

Congratulations Kelsey!!!!

Two weekends ago Kelsey graduated high school!!! Yea! Both sets of grand parents from Ryan's side of the family came, Gma & Gpa Stortz and Waddell. Jen and Nate also came and brought baby Braden!!! Braden is now 6 months and cute as ever! We all loved listening to his adorable laugh!

Back Track

I've decided to back track a few weeks or so to make our new log a little more interesting! We will just start at the end of May, when things got really crazy for us. The weekend of may 23-24th we (Ryan, Andrew, Kelsey and Myself) decided to take a road trip to Utah. Ryan met with three counselors at BYU to get more information about the business school. Kelsey and Andrew are moving to Utah in the fall to attend UVSC. They went in search of housing, and I went along for the ride. We celebrated Ryan's 24th birthday at a really super cool Mayan themed resturant. There was a deep pool where several divers dressed in loin cloths did a dive show several times through out the night. The food was so-so but the diving was way fun! On our way home we decided to stop in Battle Mountain Nevada where we purchased illegal fireworks! I feel a little devious for breaking the law! The pictures posted are outside the firework shop.

Hello!

We are excited to be members of the nerdy world of bloggers! Actually I'm excited. Ryan thinks that blogs are the adult version of My Space, so most of what you will be reading will come from me. I wanted to start by sharing the new changes in our lives. Ryan has decided to go back to school full time. He quit his job with Suntrust Mortgage to hit the books. He is taking several summer classes at Sierra College and will have a full load in the fall. He plans on transferring to BYU next summer and hopes to get into the school of business. He is working very hard and enjoying his classes! I am taking summer classes at Sac State and will be graduating next year! There is a light at the end of the tunnel! We recently moved into Ryans' parents home while we are both attending school full time. Last weekend we moved out of our little one bedroom apartment, put most of what we had in storage and crammed everything else in our bedroom at the Waddell's house. This summer will be full of midterms, essay papers and finals but we look forward to the time we have in school! We hope to hear from all of our friends and family, so stop and say hello sometime!
